GEOMETRY WARS 3 REVIEW IGN DRIVERS
PGR 3 rewards the best drivers for their ability to execute bold moves as they race. It's the combination of the story and gameplay (which is flawed, but fun), that make this game a purchase for Star Wars fans. it's mainly the true to the universe story and characters that pull you in, and the gameplay is enjoyable enough to get you to continue forward. the demo doesn't really give an overall feel for the game.

i've also played the PSP version, which i like MORE than the console version in a lot of ways), but i suggest others rent it and play the full game. Personally, i'm going to buy it (after having played my roommate's version since last Thursday, and all through the weekend. there are only so many hours in a day, and so much money in a budget to get the game up to snuff by a set release date.
GEOMETRY WARS 3 REVIEW IGN PS3
I don't think the 360 and PS3 COULDN'T utilize DMM and Euphoria, i just think the split development caused a shift in priorities on the devs end. Maybe if the game was being built with just ONE system in mind, it could have optimized the technology for the console (either PS3 or 360, doesn't matter), and they really could have went to work on it. The only thing that didn't live up to the hype in my opinion was the DMM and Euphoria, but that doesn't stop the game from being fun, and i never really got what all the hubbub about DMM was to begin with, and how it would REALLY effect gameplay. Too many reviewers are falling for the very hype that they themselves drum up for a game, then want to whine and complain and score a game down when it doesn't live up to that hype.

so what if it's not "AAA" (whatever THAT means). a game doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable, and a 7 score isn't bad at all. I already wrote my thoughts on the ign reviews 360 story, but i'd give it a solid 7.5+. Still, I'm getting this one since I really want to play with the force. Most people will be forced to rely on scores and 7 is definitly not so good in such season. While I don't believe in reviews and think everyone should try every game, this fall this is simply impossible unless you are a millionare. I mean, I want Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge, Fable 2, Prince of Persia, LBP, MotorStorm 2, MK vs DC and more just on my buy list. Sure, if it was during the drought of games like early days of next gen or in a normal mid summer where there weren't many games, it would have been alright but its 2008, a year that so many consider one of the best years of gaming and most of it's heavy hitters are coming in these months. Let's hope other good teams don't disappoint.Īs for the score of 7, I agree that it's a good / fair score but as Winter47th, this is no normal year or time. Thankfully, some of the great devs like Infinity Ward and Valve did manage to keep the quality of their works and in some occasions, even improved. Good point about the next-gen being different and many good devs from the past not doing so good this time around.
